B2BOptix Installation & User Guide
Everything you need to install B2BOptix and get AI reorder recommendations live on your cart page — typically under 10 minutes. This guide covers the BigCommerce app; Shopify merchants follow the equivalent steps from the Shopify App Store.
1. Installation
Install from the App Marketplace
In your BigCommerce control panel, go to Apps → App Marketplace, search for B2BOptix, and click Install. Approve the requested permissions (read-only orders and products, storefront content, and store information). Installation is a single click — there is nothing to configure.
Open the dashboard
After installing, B2BOptix appears under Apps in your control panel sidebar. The dashboard opens inside the control panel and shows your store's connection status — you'll see “Awaiting first sync” on a fresh install.
Sync your order history
Click “Sync now.” B2BOptix imports up to 52 weeks of order history, indexes your product catalog, and starts the AI analysis. Recommendations are ready in a few minutes — the status badge switches to “AI Ready.”
No orders yet? Click “Load sample data” instead. It builds a 12-month demo order history from your own products so you can preview the full cart experience. Your real orders replace the sample automatically on the next sync.
Visit your cart page
Open your storefront, add any product to the cart, and go to the cart page. The “Reorder Recommendations” panel appears below your cart items. No theme changes are needed — the widget is injected via BigCommerce's Script Manager and works with any Stencil theme.
2. How buyers use it
Each recommendation card shows the product, when it was last ordered, an urgency label — Overdue, Order now, Soon, or Upcoming — and an “+N Add to Order” button with the predicted reorder quantity.
One click adds the item to the cart in that quantity. Items already covered by the current cart show a “✓ in cart” state, and quantities are automatically capped to available stock on inventory-tracked products, so buyers are never offered more than you can sell.
Recommendations are ranked by supply urgency and only show items predicted to be due within the next 14 days — the panel stays quiet when nothing needs reordering.
3. How it works
Every night, B2BOptix re-syncs your orders and products, computes reorder cycles for each product from actual purchase cadence, and builds a rolling 13-week demand forecast. Claude AI then scores each upcoming reorder by urgency. No manual maintenance is required.
B2BOptix reads order dates, products, quantities, and company/billing names for location grouping. It never collects shopper emails, phone numbers, addresses, or payment details — and uninstalling the app deletes all synced data from our systems immediately.
4. Troubleshooting
No recommendations on the cart page? Check the dashboard: if the status is “Awaiting first sync,” run Sync now (or Load sample data). If your store's next predicted reorder is more than 14 days out, the dashboard says so — the panel will populate as items come due.
Recommendations look stale? The dashboard shows when AI recommendations were last refreshed. They update automatically every night after the order re-sync.
Uninstalling: removing the app from Apps → My Apps automatically removes the storefront widget and deletes your store's data from B2BOptix.
